Cognitive Systems Corp. has announced that its Aura WiFi Motion technology is now a standard option for products developed on Qualcomm's Mesh Networking Platform. The technology enables advanced motion detection without requiring design changes or additional hardware. Initially available in Cognitive Systems' own Aura smart home monitoring solution, the technology uses radio frequency (RF) motion algorithms and machine learning to monitor homes without cameras. The collaboration will allow millions of existing and future connected devices using Qualcomm's Mesh Networking Platform to incorporate Aura's motion detection for enhanced smart home insights and controls. The technology will be demonstrated at CES 2018.
